Take Away Challenge

Something I forgot to mention on my last blog, is we are currently on day 3 of having no electric cooker!
On Thursday night, just towards me finishing off our evening tea (Yellow Thai Curry and Noodles), the cooker tripped the main trip switches, and won't turn back on without tripping out again!

So it was Take Away on Friday (Chicken Sagwala), Take Away on Saturday (Pizza) and thankfully no takeaway today, although we did finish last nights Pizza off for dinner.
Not all has been lost, my wife dusted off our Toastie Maker tonight, and I had a cracking toastie, with Chesse, Tomatoes,Ham and Chilli and Lime Chicken Bits.....It was quality, I hope the cooker is repaired soon.

We watched a good old fashioned black and white movie this afternoon staring the actress Joan Crawford in the 1946 movie called "Humoresque",it also stars John Garfield. We really enjoyed the movie, and to be honest the first hour was gripping, but we found that the last third of the movie went a bit sticky sweet hollywood, certainly it would make a great contender for a remake.
If you haven't seen the film, here is a quick 2 minute music montage, the playing of the piano and volin is of the highest standard.

Now, here are last night DX's logs

As usual I will close with a bit of music, hear is a live video via You Tube of a Scotish Folk Band named "Box Club", I discovered them on BBC Alba, there album, was one of my Christmas Present from Santa. I don't even know if the band are still going? But the video really does capture the band rocking out, excellent musicianship, I only discovered the video this morning, so I hope you enjoy it.

Back to work tomorrow, I hope to feature something from Martha Wainwrights new album, and if I remember, a track from one of my favourite CD's of 2012 by Rufus Wainwright, and as you would expect, the normal random going on's in my world.

73's
Damien
