Man Flu

Well, I'm finally starting to feel a little better. Forgive my lack of posts, Man Flu, I'm afraid, but thankfully I'm on the mend.

Lets kick off with a bit of DX, it's seems that Transatlantic Reception is staring to slowly come back on Medium Wave, certainly for 1 hour (7 to 8 UTC) the X band came alive, managed a ID from KRZI Waco Texas carrying on 1660Khz ESPN, and I'm still trying to ID a mystery station carrying Bloomberg on 1680Khz, hopefully the lads on "SkywaveMW" forum will help me out on that one, on a final DX note, no East coast signals at all last night. I wonder what tonight recordings will produce?

Yesterday I started my running back up, due to the snow and Man flu, almost two weeks had passed, so I'm to be back to my usual routine of twenty minutes of running from work to my childrens school. It's not to be sniffed at, I do this four times a week, and managed to loose 2 1/2 stone in 4 months, not bad for gently running for 20 minutes.

And so on to Music...At the moment I can't stop playing Kepa Junkera CD "Bilbao 00.01h", however last week I recieved the new Jorn CD called Symphonic. Who is Jorn ? Well he Norwegian Melodic Hard Rock Singer with a great voice, he sold over 2 millions albums worldwide, and I thought would perhaps enjoy a listen to one of my favourite tracks by Jorn. It's a track called "Vision Eyes" which came off his "Out To Every Nation" CD, it also featured on the new "Symphonic" CD. Enjoy...

Well, before I sign off to Bed, it's seems that the very first song I featured on my blog by the "Bingo Players" hit No1 in the UK download charts, who have thought..at the age of 43 I can still be hip!

Here is a bit of a dual blog today, firstly I will start with music. As I mentioned in a my early message, I do listen to a lot of music.
Santa was very kind this year, so I have been listening to quite a lot.
Today, I would like to introduce you to a Spanish Artist called Kepa Junkera, and track from his album Bilbao 01:01h.
Kepa is an world acclaimed accordion player, and on this track he is joined by Duice Pontes on  vocals, that can be only described as a beautiful song called "Maitia Nun Zira". Enjoy ......

And Finally...

Well, I have finally managed to get a moment, to start "de blog". And where to start? One may ask?
Like all internet stuff, I guess it's a learning curve.

My plan of attack is not to overkill you with information, but in a nutshell I have many hobbies, firstly I listen to a lot of music, and although I mainly like melodic rock stuff, I also listen to Jazz,Pop,Folk......yes anything really, so as time goes by, you will perhaps get into some new music yourself.

I love a good film (Who Dosen't), and I'm a bit picky on TV these days.

My other hobbies are DXing, and if that means nothing to you, it's listening for long distance radio staions, mainly on the Medium Wave band or FM (Hope you are still awake).

I like nothing better than supporting my Football Team from my birthplace, Newport County AFC, and have also been into HI-FI for many years......Phew ...Where do I Start.....With now of course!

Well here we go,my first blog...Like all things new,this will take a little time for me to get used to. First lesson learn't, use a PC and not a Android phone, not the best intro for my first blog.
